The building lies next to the Candeliere Tower, in the medieval neighbourhood called Cittanuova (the New City). It was built in the fifteenth century and, as the name suggests, it was used as weapon storage. It has been renovated so many times through history that it now almost looks like a new building.
The most interesting architectural elements are the four wide arches on the ground floor, through which you had access to the Museum of Mining Art and History, now moved to the new ““Subterraneo”
