It is in Piazza XXIV Maggio, at the very end of Corso Diaz, in Cittanuova and it was built in 1924 in memory of the First World War deaths.
A long stairway leads to the park: here, on each tree a memorial plate states name and regiment of the deceased. A monument was erected in the middle of the park, symbolizing liberty, equality and fraternity.
In 1938 a marble bust, made in 1904 by the roman sculptor Ettore Ferrari and representing Giuseppe Mazzini was transferred here from Piazza Garibaldi.
