Massa Marittima is a paradise for mountainbiking. Everything started with a trail here or there, but soon more and much longer ones have been created. Nowadays there are thousand of passionate bikers who enjoy riding our zone; thanks to the mild climate during the whole year!
Any biker will be satisfied with the Massa Marittima trail area: there are smooth flow-trails as well as rough enduro tracks. The best trails can be discovered on a tour with a local mountainbike guide. They know where the best trails are and know the area like the back of their hand. Be careful: the itineraries can be insidious even for cracks, gps documents could be outdated and mobile connection is not given everywhere. Knowing the insiders you might even see aeration holes of the mining age, the wonderful panorama on our region and the best trails of course!
The tracks have been built in countless hours by volunteers and bikecracks. Many of them are members of “The Trail Brothers” which was created years ago by a few passionate bikers of Massa Marittima and bikefreaks who love this region. Moreover trailbuilding weeks are organised to bunch forces to create new trails or to maintain the old ones in order to have everything ready for the riding season.
For those who want to enjoy the beauties of Massa Marittima after a bike tour, the “Trail Brothers” provide a secure Bike-Garage, located in via Butigni, in front of the Cathedral facade.
