This small village is about 10km far from Massa Marittima and you can get there also through the mining village of Capanne. At the bottom of Bindo Hill you can still see the pit head frame named Pozzo 4 and some mine entrances. But the main attraction of this area is the Accesa Lake, particularly interesting from a naturalistic point of view.
By the lake there is also an archaeological park: the excavations during the ‘30s and ‘80s of the XX century brought to light the rests of four Etruscan villages, dating IX-VI centuries b.C. It is possible so see only the foundations but today we know that their presence was linked to copper extraction. Most artifacts are today displayed at the Archaeological Museum in Massa Marittima.
