Acquired in 2019 by the Italo-Swiss Burkard family, Tenuta il Tesoro, located just a few kilometres from Massa Marittima, covers an area of approximately 115 hectares with an altitude of up to 140 metres above sea level and is characterised by different soil types (stone and clay) rich in minerals such as iron and magnesium. The 40 hectares of vineyards extend over different heights with a predominantly southern exposure, and benefit from special climatic conditions – proximity to the sea, constant ventilation, strong temperature fluctuations – that allow the cultivation of healthy, fragrant and slowly ripening grapes.
It is 2019 when Adriana and Urs Burkard initiate the Arillo in Terrabianca project with the acquisition of the estates located in the heart of the most authentic Tuscany: Tenuta il Tesoro in Maremma, Tenuta Terrabianca in Chianti Classico and Colle Brezza in Val d’Orcia.
The aim is simple though ambitious: to make, wines with a strong identity and with a distinct territorial imprint following the principles of organic and minimalist wine growing, fostering those native grape varieties that find their best distinctive characteristics in the Tuscan territories.
Sustainability is for Arillo in Terrabianca a daily choice that embraces the entire life cycle of the wine, from soil to bottle, through an integral approach of respect for the territory and in harmony with Nature.
The Tenuta il Tesoro winery produces the iconic IGT Toscana Rossi CAMPACCIO and CAMPACCIO COLLEZIONE, wines of impeccable style, great freshness and balance, and the DOC MAREMMA wines, modern and fresh, suitable for all occasions. A young and original collection, declined in three proposals: BEVOBIANCO, BEVOROSA and BEVOROSSO, wines as authentic as the land from which they are born.

Wine Tasting “Linea Bevo”
Tasting of the three DOC MAREMMA wines: BEVOBIANCO, BEVOROSA, BEVOROSSO. A line of wines with strong flavours and elegant aromas, available in three versions: White, Rosé and Red.

Wine Tasting “Arillo Classic”
An authentic experience to discover the Chianti Classico DOCG wines of the Terrabianca estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, and the IGTs of the Maremma.
You will be guided through two ‘worlds apart’, which have always been devoted to the production of extraordinary wines and are the beating hearts of the Arillo in Terrabianca project of naturalness and contemporary sustainability.
The tasting includes four wines: SACELLO Chianti Classico DOCG and CROCE Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG; CAMPACCIO and CAMPACCIO COLLEZIONE, the iconic IGT Toscana Rossi produced from the vines of the ‘Tenuta il Tesoro’.

Wine Tasting “Enotour Arillo”
Here you can see closely how Arillo in Terrabianca works for and with the land, always focusing on the principles of a sustainable and minimalist winegrowing along with a strong territorial connotation.
The Arillo team will take you on a tour of the winery to discover the winemaking processes, and then on to the Enoteca, where you will savour the excellence of the wines.
The tour will include a tasting of four wines selected by our guests amongst the variety of labels produced on the company’s estates. The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of local cold cuts and cheeses.

Enotour “Arillo Experience”
An immersive tour designed for wine enthusiasts who wish to discover the soul and philosophy of Arillo in Terrabianca, in all its production aspects.
It will give you a taste of the territorial uniqueness of the complete range of wines, in addition to the company’s other organic products.
Guided tour of the vineyards and wine cellar with tasting of seven wines, an Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a Grappa Riserva, all accompanied by a selection of local cold cuts and cheeses, honey and home-made jam.
